William Howden
I would like to be more descriptive in my writing.
Have you ever been in the darkest place you can imagine? Imagine feeling something graze your shoulder and not being able to see or know what it is. The bottom of the ocean is one of my personal fears, and not just because of the darkness, but because we have also barely scratched the surface of what creates lerk down there.
The species in the bottom of the ocean that we do know about like the: giant spider crab, sixgill shark, and the vampire fish are all terrifying to come up close to. But the fact that you will most likely not be able to see them is even more terrifying as it means you could feel something swim past your foot and you wouldn’t even be able to see it.
The parts of the ocean that you can see are already and that we know of are already terrifying enough, but when you add darkness and barely know anything about it… it's so incredibly terrifying I can’t think of a single person who would go down there without being forced to.
Imagine seeing nothing for hundreds and hundreds of meters, just knowing that there is probably something swimming around you at that very second. Just the thought of that makes me quiver with fear.
R - Today I believe that I have been more descriptive by including more adjectives and working harder on punctuation.
