It was a small little farm in a small little town. The owner of the farm walked out of an old wooden house supported by large beams. He stood on the deck sipping a cup of coffee for a moment, before walking towards a blue tractor with a harvester on the front. He started the large machine using a key with the word “Holland” on it. He drove past barns, cows, and sheep before stopping at a field of soybeans which he was going to harvest that morning.
He got himself in line with the first row of beans, started the harvester and was on his merry way. He could see the elementary school he went to from the field. He thought about how his dad used to meet him at the fence during lunch break and all the football games him and his friends played in that field all those years ago.
For his next task he decided to shear the sheep; he hadn’t sheared them in two months so it was long overdue. He got the first one on a leash and started shearing. The barn where he kept the sheep had a little wooden frame with grey metal sheets on the outside. He would put a bowl of feed in front of the sheep when he sheared them so they would be distracted when he took their wool, the sheep didn’t mind this part of the process since they ate while it was happening. By the end he had a large basket of dirty white wool. It was already five o’ clock by the time he finished with that so he decided to call it a day and relax until morning.
