William Howden was a fairly normal boy... well he was. It started off as a normal morning for young William. He jumped out of the comfort of his own bed to get in the shower, eat breakfast and go to school. He was very tired and unalert because of all the homework he was doing last night, but he knew he couldn’t miss the weekly writing task with Mr.Cohen. When his mom dropped him off for school he felt rather queer. Something just didn’t feel right; he just passed it off as a lack of sleep.

After he ate breakfast he got into the car with his mom and went to school.

When his mom dropped him off he got out of the car and realized he wasn’t at school; when he turned around to get back in the car his mom wasn’t there either His mother dropped him off in a strange place called the Shire. “Where am I?” he whispered to himself, “you’re in Hobbiton.”

said the small man standing behind him. “Wh-who are you?” William asked seeming

rather confused

“Well my name’s Frodo.” he said seeming rather perky and excited. “Come with me. I’ll show you around.”

As they were walking will kept thinking to himself how nice and peaceful this place is.

Later that day Frodo and William went to Frodo’s home and ate lunch. “So how did you get here?”

asked Frodo

“Well my mom was supposed to drop me off at school but she brought me here” replied William.

“Well what do you think of hobbiton?”asked Frodo

“It’s so colorful and full of life. I want to stay here all the time. The grass is greener than my home and the trees are taller. Plus I’m the tallest one in this entire town!” He said full of joy and excitement.

“Well that’s too bad that you have to go home then.” he said “yah I better get on my way then.” after he said that he woke up from what seemed like a very descriptive dream.

The Shire

Gandalf's Point Of View

In the book Gandalf is a wizard who seems to figure things out as he goes along. In Chapter Six of the book or the bridge of khazad dum he seems to be rather worried, or scared for what's to come. In one specific part of the chapter when gimli says “we cannot get out.” Gandalf says one word “trapped!” This realization he had chilled him to the very bone. After this he hears a loud noise like a boom. At this point he didn't know what it was but they later realised it was orcs. A lot of this chapter, I get the feeling that Gandalf is confused. I think this is because of the situation he’s in and how stressful it is. When they are fighting the orcs near the end gandalf says “Now is the last chance. Run for it!” when he says this he seems to be very desperate.

In this part of the chapter they are outside after the fight and Aragorn says “I thought you were dead to Gandalf!” he said this because he thought Gandalf was going to die during the battle. After Aragorn said that Gandalf replied “No not yet!” as if he was scared he would die in the near future.

The Ending of the Fellowship

Frodo was walking calmly thinking about what to do with the Ring. He was thinking about whether he should go alone and leave his friends behind where they would be safe. He suddenly heard a strange voice behind him that whispered ‘My precious.’ When he looked behind him he saw a dark figure; he immediately realised that it was the creature Golem.

He unsheathed his blade ‘come out. I’m not afraid of you!’ The creature slowly came into the light and jumped at Frodo. Frodo would have been scared, but he had faced much more challenging enemies throughout his journey; Golem seemed to know what he was doing and proved to be more challenging to fight than Bildo had previously thought. Once Frodo got golem off of him he said ‘Why are you fighting me!’ as soon as Bilbo said this Golem jumped at him to scare Frodo. ‘I’m looking for my Ring.’ replied Golem ‘This is no longer your Ring!’ said Frodo ‘My uncle Bilbo passed it down to me. After he got it from you.’ said Frodo very anxiously, ‘I need to bring it back to sauron.’

Immediately, after Golem said that Frodo started to run as fast as he could, ‘I’ll never give let Sauron have the Ring!’ to Frodo's surprise Golem stood still and did not move a muscle. When this happened Frodo's sword started to glow and he heard a sound of distress from Boromir.

He rushed over and saw everyone but Sam and Pippin; he couldn’t think about that now he needed to help Boromir. Frodo saw Strider and he looked as if he was mourning the death of a friend. Immediately, after this, Frodo knew he needed to go alone for the safety of his friends. He ran to the boats and didn’t look back.
